Chris's training in martial arts began in 1988, and he has been instructing since 1991. He's had experience in a good mix of martial arts, namely Ninjutsu, Karate, Tai Chi and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Over the years, he has taught students between the ages of 3 and 64, as well as students with disabilities. He's had to make allowances for students from different cultural backgrounds. All in all, it has taught him much about tolerance, patience, and the importance of being able to adapt to varying needs. His experience as an instructor extends to term based contracts with primary and secondary schools, and public demonstrations.

		Hanshi 4th Dan Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment Level II First Aid Working with Children check Shaun has been training in martial arts for over 16 years, with more than 11 years teaching experience. He has studied various martial art systems with the focus of his training being in the traditional Japanese styles. Shaun is also a Musculoskeletal Therapist, has a private practice, and lectures on Soft-tissue Therapies at two colleges in Melbourne. His knowledge of the human body and its mechanics overflows into his martial arts classes and mixes well with Issei Ryu Bujutsu's natural and comfortable system of movement. 		1st Dan Lvl 3 Sword, Lvl 1 Jo, Bo, Hanbo Level II First Aid Working with Children check Victor started his training with us at the age of 14. In 2008, he signed up as our very first trainee instructor, and was officially employed early 2009. He's also learning Muay Thai and pursuing further tertiary education.

Rob trained in martial arts from a very early age, learning from his father. He began formal training at age 7 in Judo. He went on to learn Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Boxing, Thai Boxing, Aikido and BJJ. In 1997, Rob established his school Ground Zero specialising in BJJ. It has since become one of the more reputable martial arts schools in the Melbourne CBD. Rob instructs BJJ at Martial Journey on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please check class times.
